Caring for Members

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) has medical policies that serve as guidelines for health care benefit coverage decisions, which may vary according to the different products and benefit plans offered by each state.

Medical policies are based on data from peer-reviewed scientific literature, from criteria developed by specialty societies and from guidelines adopted by other health care organizations.

In addition to the active and pending medical policies, HCSC has included policies that are under development or being revised.
